Learning To Fly An Aeroplane My Story:
There are many books available in respect of 'how' to fly an aeroplane; however my book is also about 'learning' to fly an aeroplane.
It should be noted that my book only goes up to the pre-solo stage. In mid September 2019 my instructor told me to apply for my 'Part 2 Aviation Medical' as I was ready to fly solo. I had my medical on 3rd October and unfortunately failed it. Luckily it was not the end of the world and I only required a minor operation to enable me to pass. As a result of undergoing the operation another 'minor' problem was discovered (don't get old!!), and by the time I was fit and well again it was mid February. I then discovered that the airfield had been practically closed down since mid December, as it was waterlogged and only essential flying was taking place. It was expected that the airfield would open again in mid March. As membership of the 'Fenland Flying School' is £60 per month I decided to start flying again from 1st April. Well we all know what has happened recently and Fenland Airfield is now closed indefinitely because of the Coronavirus.
Hopefully by the time 'Boris' allows us out again I will still be young enough to continue my flying training and complete writing my book.
Now it may seem a strange decision to publish my book in an unfinished state but the first part contains a huge amount of information and while we are all 'Confined to Barracks' by our friend Boris you aircraft enthusiasts might as well have something to read.
Once complete 'Learning To Fly An Aeroplane My Story' will cost £4.99, however it is currently on sale for £0.99 which is the minimum I can price it at. Note that I will not increase the price to £4.99 until after the final version of the complete book is published.
This is where an 'e-Book' wins over a 'Paperback'. Once you have bought my book you can download all future revisions at no extra cost. You simply delete my book from your tablet or i-Pad etc. Then download it again. So to summarise you can buy the first part of my book at 20% of the final selling price and get the second part free.
Postscript:
It is now the last day in August 2020 and I am still not able to fly at my local airfield due to the Coronavirus. It is quite possible that I may not finish my flying training and update this book. So it will remain on sale for £0.99. Please note that although it may never get completed it still contains most if not all of the information that a budding pilot needs to know!
Have you decided to buy my book yet? In my book you will discover that the average cost per hour to learn to fly an aeroplane is £180 per hourly lesson. That's £3 per minute or 5 pence per second. Instead of buying my book for £0.99 you could have an extra 20 seconds of flying time. Which do you think will benefit you the most? There is no doubt in my mind that purchasing my book will save you its cost many times over. Its make your mind up time! Click 'Buy Now' you won't regret it!
My story includes why I decided to take the plunge, the theory of flight for fixed wing aircraft, choosing a flying school, and my flying log. My flying log includes daily progress, bullet points for each flying manoeuvre learnt and list of monthly Costings. My conclusion includes the total cost breakdown.
